Works councils have an important responsibility: representing employees and influencing decisions within their organisation. Yet their work is often supported by a collection of separate tools that were never designed for employee participation.
Agendas live in one application, documents in a shared folder, and action points disappear between emails and personal notes. During a consultation or consent procedure, finding the complete history and current status can therefore take far more effort than it should.
Created from practical experience
The idea for Ordamo grew from conversations about the day-to-day work of works councils. The same pattern kept returning: the substance deserves attention, but much of the available time is lost to organising, searching, and following up.
Generic project software can solve part of that problem, but it does not understand the context of a works council. A formal request is not an ordinary task, and a consultation meeting is more than an appointment on a calendar. These processes need support that understands how they relate.
One place for works council work
That is why Ordamo brings meetings, topics, documents, actions, and formal requests together. It does not replace discussion or judgement; it makes sure information remains available and agreements do not disappear from view.
A new council member should be able to understand what is happening without searching through mailboxes and folders. Experienced members should quickly see which deadlines are approaching. Confidential information should only be visible to the people who are meant to access it.
Building together with works councils
Ordamo is not a system we want to design in isolation. We develop it together with people who understand employee participation in practice. Their feedback determines where simplification is needed and which features genuinely add value.
